Technology in High Demand, Capital in Short Supply: Next2Sun Fights for Its Future

Dillingen/Saar, September 18, 2026 – Next2Sun AG, a pioneer in vertical photovoltaics and one of the
trailblazers of agrivoltaics (Agri-PV) in Germany, is facing a decisive phase in its development. The
ongoing share offering has so far achieved only a fraction of its targeted volume. The coming week
will determine whether the company can raise sufficient capital to secure its continued existence.

The challenge is not a lack of projects or economic viability. Quite the opposite: Next2Sun has a strong
project pipeline and technology that is perfectly aligned with the current needs of the energy market.
However, the impact of the 2025 financial year, particularly the absence of approved Agri-PV funding,
combined with the current reluctance of investors and banks to finance renewable energy projects, has
left a significant mark on the company.
“We have the product the market needs today. Our projects are economically viable, grid-friendly, and
technically proven. We have the expertise and the project base to implement them successfully. What we
need now is financing,” explains Heiko Hildebrandt, CEO of Next2Sun.
Next2Sun’s vertical solar systems generate above-average amounts of electricity during the morning and
evening hours. As a result, they provide power when demand is particularly high and when conventional
ground-mounted solar installations typically produce less electricity. At the same time, the land remains
available for agricultural use.
Now Is the Time for Supporters to Act
Next2Sun is now sending a clear message to the renewable energy community: even the best business
prospects are worthless without the capital needed to turn them into real value creation. Institutional
financing is currently unavailable under prevailing market conditions. Therefore, Next2Sun is specifically
addressing private investors who are committed to a rapid and effective energy transition.
The coming days will be decisive. Everyone interested should have the opportunity to participate in
technology that can make a significant contribution to the energy transition. For this reason, the minimum
subscription amount for the current share offering has been reduced to EUR 600. To protect investors, the
funds raised will only be accepted if a financing volume is achieved that enables a commercially viable
development of the company. If this threshold is not reached, the investment will not proceed.
The subscription period ends on September 25, 2026.
“It would send a disastrous signal if companies with market-ready, grid-friendly solutions and
economically viable projects were to fail not because of their technology or a lack of demand, but because
of insufficient capital. The coming weeks will show whether Germany is prepared to support innovations
of this kind,” says Heiko Hildebrandt.
