Next2Sun and Over Easy Solar cooperation to advance vertical PV solutions

Dillingen (Germany) / Oslo (Norway), Mai, 27, 2026, German vertical PV specialist Next2Sun and Norwegian technology company Over Easy Solar AS have agreed to establish a strategic cooperation focused on sales and marketing activities for vertical photovoltaic (PV) solutions.

The collaboration aims to accelerate market adoption of vertical PV concepts across selected European markets by combining the complementary expertise of both companies. While Next2Sun specializes in bifacial vertical PV systems for ground-mounted, agrivoltaics and infrastructure applications, Over Easy Solar has developed lightweight vertical PV units for flat roofs and green rooftops, designed for lightweight and easy installation.

Vertical PV systems are attracting increasing attention as an alternative and complement to conventional tilted PV. By orienting modules vertically and using bifacial technology, such systems typically deliver a more balanced electricity generation profile, with higher yields in the morning and evening hours. This can improve alignment with electricity demand, support self-consumption, and help reduce grid congestion at midday peaks.

In addition, vertical PV enables multifunctional land use. The technology can be integrated into agricultural operations, infrastructure corridors, fences, or building-adjacent areas, often preserving or even enhancing the primary use of the site. Better surface access, improved resilience to snow accumulation and soiling further contribute to the system’s suitability for a wide range of locations and climates.

“Vertical PV is gaining momentum as a solution that enables efficient land use, grid-friendly generation profiles and new application areas,” says Sascha Krause-Tünker, CFO of Next2Sun. “By teaming up with Over Easy Solar, we are strengthening our market presence and offering customers a broader portfolio of proven vertical PV solutions.”

Trygve Mongstad, Founder and CEO of Over Easy Solar adds: “This cooperation allows us to jointly address different segments of the vertical PV market and further establish the technology as a viable and scalable option.”

The two companies plan to cooperate in joint marketing initiatives, coordinated sales activities, and mutual lead exchange. Through the collaboration, Over Easy Solar and Next2Sun can help customers and partners evaluate a broader range of vertical PV applications: from rooftops to fences, industrial sites and agrivoltaic projects. For EPCs, installers, building owners, farmers and developers, this means easier access to complementary solutions that can increase renewable energy production where traditional solar designs face limitations.

About Over Easy Solar

Over Easy Solar AS is a Norwegian solar technology company founded in 2021 and headquartered in Oslo. The company has developed a prefabricated vertical PV system for flat roofs, designed to make rooftop solar easier to install where conventional tilted systems are limited by roof load, ballast, penetrations, wind conditions, green roof requirements, or access needs.

With installations across Europe and North America, including over 60 projects in over 15 countries, Over Easy Solar has established as a frontrunner in vertical rooftop PV with over 3. The company works with building owners, installers, roofing partners, and green roof specialists to unlock solar potential on flat rooftops that are underserved by conventional PV solutions.
